Jeri Hatcher Tyler

Jeri Hatcher Tyler, age 80, of the Ivy Creek Community in Buford, GA passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023.  She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-seven years, Richard Tyler; father, Frank Hatcher; mother, Carolyn Lawhorn Owens; step-father, Steven Owens; sister, Jean Duffy; and daughter-in-law, Andi Tyler.  Mrs. Tyler is survived by children, Brett Tyler of Cumming, GA and Kelli (Christopher) Wilson of Peachtree City, GA; grandchildren, Logan, Molly, and Hannah Wilson and Colin and Ryan Tyler; brother, Joe (Barbara) Hatcher of Helen, GA; brother-in-law, Jerry (MaryAnn) Tyler of Roswell, GA; sister-in-law, Beth Pitcher of Sarasota, FL; and several nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Tyler was born on July 30, 1942 in Atlanta, GA.  She graduated from Lagrange College in Lagrange, GA.  She had many occupations including secretary, VHS video rental store owner, editor of the Hog Mountain Herald newspaper, jewelry maker, and larger animal rescuer.  Mrs. Tyler was also a member of Ivy Creek Baptist Church in Buford, GA.  She loved to rescue dogs, cats, horses and donkeys and was a lover of Elvis music and songs. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 11:00 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Tyler officiating. Interment will follow in the Ivy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 12, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
