Jason Keith York

Jason Keith York, age 37, of Demorest, Georgia went home on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 along with his paternal grandfather, Bobby York, Sr. following an automobile accident.

Mr. York was born on September 1, 1985 in Habersham County, Georgia. In addition to his paternal grandfather, he was preceded in death by his father, Bobby York, Jr.; paternal grandmother, Gwendolyn Brewer; maternal grandmother, Rosalee Gabrels Crump; maternal grandfather, Tommy Crump.

Jason will be remembered as a sweet, special and caring person, who never met a stranger. He enjoyed going to wrestling matches, going to play BINGO with his grandfather, and listening to his brother sing in his band.

Survivors include his mother and step-father, Debbie Crump and Joerg vom Dorp, of Cleveland; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Amber York, of Demorest; brother, Bradley Tyler York, of Toccoa; step-mother, Kay Dean York, of Clarkesville; step-sisters, Cieara Murdock, of Toccoa; Michaela Mize, of Clarkesville; Julie Joy, of Braselton; and step-brother, Mark Smith, of Clarkesville.

A Joint Memorial Service honoring Jason Keith York and Bobby York, Sr. will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the Whitfield Funeral Homes, South Chapel. Interment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1: 45 p.m., Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the funeral home.
