Bobby Lee York

Bobby Lee York, age 82, of Demorest, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 along with his grandson, Jason Keith York, following an automobile accident.

Mr. York was born on January 10, 1941 in Habersham County, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Gwendolyn Brewer York; son, Bobby York, Jr.; and grandson, Jason Keith York. Bobby owned and operated B&B Auction for over 30 years. He was an avid BINGO player, always enjoying seeing his friends there. He also enjoyed spending time working on computers.

Survivors include Ron and Kristy York, of Demorest; daughter-in-law, Kay Dean York, of Clarkesville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and brother. Charles York, of Jacksonville, FL.

A Joint Memorial Service honoring Bobby York, Sr. and Jason Keith York will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the Whitfield Funeral Homes, South Chapel. Interment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1: 45 p.m., Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the funeral home.
