Charles Wayne Martin, Sr.

Mr. Charles Wayne Martin, Sr., 75, of Gainesville, passed away Friday, April 28, 2023 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2023 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Born on September 29, 1947 in Dawsonville, he was the son of the late Hoyt and Fannie Lou Dispain Martin. He was retired from Koch Foods where he was a supervisor. Mr. Martin was of the Baptist faith.

MR. Martin is survived by his wife, Mary Martin of Gainesville; daughter, Victoria Martin of Braselton; daughter and son in law, Greta Newton and Michael Brown of Cornelia; son and daughter in law, Charles Wayne Martin, Jr and Raquel of Gainesville; son, Timmy Martin of Martin, GA; son, Robby Newton and Sandra of MN; 10 grandchildren; sisters, Betty, Judy and Lori Ann; brother, Edgard and a number of other loving relatives.
