Shirley Massey Priest

Mrs. Shirley Massey Priest, age 83, of Tucker, GA. passed away Friday, April 28, 2023.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. L. J. Priest her dad, Paul A. Massey and mother, Dollie Massey; son, George Michael Priest; grandson, Michael Cory Hall. Mrs. Priest is survived by her children, Teresa (Don) McLendon of Social Circle, GA., Rita (Ronny) Alewine of Stockbridge, GA., Ricky (Bridget) Priest of Snellville, GA.; grandchildren, Shannon West, Amanda (Danny) Proctor, Lauren (Josh) du Plooy, Caleb Priest, Morgan (Andrew) Smith, Rayanne (Brian) McNair, Matthew (Kaylee) Stanley; great-grandchildren, Nate Proctor, Bre Proctor, Lucas Smith, Kate McNair, Macie Grace Smith, Luca du Plooy, Theodore McNair, Rory McNair, Elliana du Plooy; sisters, Lemetries Bagley, Lanney (Allen) Still, Dinah (John) Bingham; brother, Tim (Mary) Massey of Hoschton, GA.; and many nieces and nephews. Shirley was born November 6, 1939 in Atlanta, GA.  She retired from the Dekalb County Board of Education after 26 years at Briar Vista Elementary.  A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Sunday, April 30, 2023, in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA. with the Rev. Larry Wynn officiating.  Interment will follow at Gwinnett Memorial Park in Lawrenceville, GA.  The family will have a private visitation from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and friends will be received for visitation from 12:00 p.m.- 1:00 p.m.
