Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth Grafton Jarrett, age 79 of Toccoa passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023 at the home of her son.
A daughter of the late Joe P. Grafton, Sr. and Jewell Ivester Grafton, she was born January 7, 1944 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived all her life. She was a homemaker and a member of Tates Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Sidney “Sid” Jarrett, son, Mark Jarrett and siblings, Frances Capes, Mary Crunkleton, J.P. Grafton, Jr., Hal Grafton and Phil Grafton.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Jenny Jarrett of Carnesville; granddaughter, Chloe Jarrett; brothers and sisters-in-law, Aubrey and Laura Grafton, Roger and Donna Grafton and Wayne and Karel Grafton all of Toccoa; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Michael Whitfield of Chattanooga, Tennessee; sisters-in-law, Florence Grafton and Lynn Grafton both of Toccoa; a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 22, 2023, 3 o’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Jerrell Beatty officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Roger Grafton, Keith Grafton, Jason Grafton, Mark Wilkinson, Tom Jarrett and Stan Crisp.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Saturday from 12 noon until the service time at 3 p.m. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth Grafton Jarrett.
