Shelby Baxter Hart

Shelby Baxter Hart, age 83, of Cornelia, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.

Mrs. Hart was born on January 18, 1940 in Hall County, Georgia to the late Henry Grady and Ruth Frances Baxter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Stanley Baxter, Steve Baxter, and Terry Baxter.

Ms. Hart had several careers throughout her life, including food caterer, hair stylist, and an associate at Walmart in Cornelia. After retirement, she cared for her mother, enjoyed Square Dancing and Bible Study and was a member of the Clarkesville Writers Society Group.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Dianna Roberta and Robert Howell, of Jupiter, FL; granddaughter, Makenzie Rose Howell and her fiancé, Josh Berenson, of Pemberton, NJ; great-niece, Susan Khadayat and her children, David, Alex, Atticus, all of Demorest, GA.

Memorial Services will be held at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, April 29, 2023 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday, April 29, 2023 at the funeral home prior to the service.
