Evalee Wilson Fenwick

Obituary Date: Tuesday, April 11, 2023

Evalee Wilson Fenwick, was the youngest child born to the union of Clarence Fairbanks Wilson, Sr. and Helen Azilene Clifton Wilson in Fulton, Mississippi on December 30th, 1945. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Clarence Wilson, Jr., (Mary) of Ypsilanti, Michigan, Humphrey Wilson of Akron, Ohio, one sister, Shirley Carter of Detroit, Michigan and grandson, Aqkuan Williams of Georgia. Evalee had a love for music and was able to express herself through song from early on.  As a young teenager, while attending Ypsilanti High school, she had the privilege of traveling to sing with the high school chorus in South America. She would later use her beautiful voice to sing to Jehovah God. She made her dedication to serve Jehovah on December 18th, 1977. But even at a young age, she had a love for the truth and a desire to serve the true God.  During her faithful life of service, she extended herself to learn Spanish to help the Milton Spanish Congregation grow in Georgia where she served there for 10 plus years. Recently, she returned to the Crabapple English Congregation in Milton, Georgia.  Evalee embraced each opportunity to serve Jehovah whole-heartedly.  Evalee was well known in her favorite restaurants and shops within the community as the beautiful woman with the soft voice that made everyone laugh. Some of her favorite restaurants were Mambo's Cafe and the Cracker Barrel which she loved to go to with her friends on a regular basis.  Evalee's nurturing and kind-hearted spirit drew people to be around her which allowed her the opportunity to teach them about the God she served.  She found real joy surrounding herself with friends, family and not to mention her love of the full-time ministry. Her love of travel landed her visiting countries all over the world leaving behind memories and touching the lives of many wherever she went and in turn taught her children to follow in her footsteps.  As a self-sacrificing mother, she would put her children's needs ahead of her own, even at the cost of her going without.  Her service to Jehovah and love of family always came first in her life.  She did all that she could to educate her children about Jehovah and showed them the way to serve Him and others.  Later, she would do the same for her grandchildren.  Evalee finished her life course here on the earth, Tuesday, April 11, 2023. She will always be remembered for her unbreakable faith and bond with her Heavenly Father, Jehovah.  She is lovingly remembered by her two brothers, George Wilson and James Clifton of Ypsilanti, Michigan, her children DeMario R. McKivens of Oklahoma, Tamara McKivens Cavender of South Bend, Indiana and Shaun C. Carter, (Emily) of Alpharetta, Georgia. Two grandchildren, Maya and Braxton Carter as well as loving cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.  The family of Evalee Fenwick, gratefully acknowledges with sincere appreciation your prayers, the many comforting messages, and other expressions of kindness at this time.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Worldwide Work of Jehovah's Witnesses, at www.jw.org.
