Roy Mitchell Peck, Jr

Mr. Roy Mitchell Peck, Jr., 62, of Gainesville, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at his residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 24, 2023 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Dwayne Smith and Rev. Adam Moody will officiate. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Born on February 12, 1961 in Gainesville, he was the son of the late Roy and Barbara Ann Lee Peck. Mr. Peck was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy. He was retired from Simpson Trucking and a member of Crossover Church in Cleveland, GA.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Peck was preceded in death by his sister, Lawanna Bierbower and brother, Brian Peck.

Mr. Peck is survived by his former wife and her husband, Kimberli and John Rogers of Gainesville; sons, Joshua Peck of TX, Ryder Peck of Gainesville; daughter and son in law Stephanie and Jarrad Hornsby of Dahlonega; son, Scotty Tani of Gainesville; son and daughter in law, Gianni and Amber Tani of Gainesville; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Milton Peck of Gainesville; sister in law Lisa Buffington; niece, Caitlen Peck and nephew, Elijah Stephens.

Flowers will be accepted but those who wish may make contributions to the family to go towards the funeral expense.
