Bryna Pitt

On April 6th, Bryna Pitt, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away at the young age of 62 after a two year long battle with breast cancer. Bryna is the daughter of Morton and Theodora Pitt, older sister to Adam Pitt. She was raised in Commack, New York. After graduating from Commack South High School, she went on to earn a bachelor of fine arts degree from Kutztown State College. After schooling, Bryna started her own business working as a freelance graphic designer, while also pursuing painting and other artistic outlets for her own enjoyment. When she was just a teenager, she met her future husband, Marty Brooks. They grew up together, dated for many years, eventually were married in October of 1990. Together they raised one daughter, Danielle, as well as many animals along the way. 

Bryna was a gentle and creative soul with the heart of an artist. She could see beauty in the most mundane of things and find joy in the saddest of days. She loved to laugh, and no matter the task at hand, she always found a way to make it fun and beautiful. Bryna cared immensely for animals, often donating what she could and keeping up with animal rescues all over the country. She poured much of her joy, creativity, and compassion into raising her only child, Dani, and her cats whom she loved dearly. 

Bryna leaves behind her loving husband, mother, daughter, and pets. In lieu of flowers or gifts, we instead ask that donations be made to Turtle Mountain Animal Rescue or Cat Rangers.  

A memorial service in the form of an art gallery will be held from 1-4pm on Saturday, April 22nd, 2023, at 4400 South Lee Street, Buford, GA. The service will be followed by a celebration of life with food and drink (details TBD).
