Harvey Weiss

Mr. Harvey Weiss, age 89 of Rothell Road, Toccoa passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023 at his residence.

A son of the late Joseph and Lillian Weiss, he was born July 24, 1933 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, having lived in Erie, Pennsylvania before moving to Toccoa in 1974.  He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy having served for 30 years.  He was retired from Patterson Pump as an industrial engineer with 15 years of service.  He was a member of the Toccoa Lions Club having served as President, Vice-Present and Zone Chairman, was a member of to Toccoa Elks Lodge, of the Jewish faith and a member of Congregational Children of Israel. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Catherine Gillespie Weiss.

Survivors include his daughter, Juanita Weiss of Toccoa; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Sarah Weiss of Winder; grandchildren, Jessica Weiss Esther, Jonathan Ezra Weiss and Elijah Weiss; step-grandchildren, Alan Grant, Chance Malone and Trinity Grant; sister, Adeline Weiss Makler of Philadelphia.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Graveside and interment will be at the Roosevelt Memorial Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Friday, April 21, 2023, 12:00 p.m.
