Alex Joshua Miller

Mr. Alex Joshua Miller, age 85 of Ware Shoals, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Abbeville Nursing Home, South Carolina, following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Reverend Drewery Loggins will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm, prior to the service, at the funeral home. 

Mr. Miller was born July 26, 1937 in Danville, Alabama to the late Franklin A. Miller and Annie Mae Yocum Miller.  He was retired from SCM as a machine operator and was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Barbara Whiting Miller, his son, Harvey Jay Miller and his grandson, Alex Barger.   

Mr. Miller is survived by his children, Carol & Brian Porter of Greenville, SC, Anthony Ray & Melissa Miller of Greenville, SC, Bennett & Martha Miller of Ware Shoals, SC, Johnny Miller of Fountain Inn, SC, Linda & Jacky Whitlow of Flowery Branch, Bonnie & Troy Lafata of Lawrenceville, Thomas & Betty Barry of Knoxville, TN and Dawna Blevins of Cleveland, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
