Barbara Ann Clemons

Mrs. Barbara Ann Clemons, age 91, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023. 

Barbara was born in Walnut Fork, WV. She retired to Dahlonega in 1998, along with her husband, Ray. Before she retired, she was a bookkeeper and a loan officer. She spent most of her time giving of herself to her family and friends. She was always there to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. A sweet person, she always put the needs and wishes of others above herself. A woman of tremendous faith, she was a member of Dahlonega UMC and a volunteer in the women's group there. Also, of Beta Sigma Phi. She was immensely loved by all who knew her. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Ray Glenn Clemons, and their infant son, Mark. Also her father, Rex Ferrell, and her mother, Mae Ferrell Penrod. Her brothers, Charles Ferrell and Phillip Ferrell. Her sister Katy Ferrell Baker, and her twin brother Robert Ferrell. 

Survived by son Michael Glenn Clemons (Sherri) of Dahlonega, GA, and daughter Kerri Kay Clemons Morrison (John) of Cumming, GA. Grandaughters Keylee Clemons Brown (Dan), Lindsay Morrison Coberly (Josh), and Kayna Clemons. She had four Great Grandchildren as well, Caleb, Porter, Perry Ann, and Tyler. 

Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 PM Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Dahlonega UMC. The family will accept friends from 2:00 PM until the service hour in the church's Fellowship Hall. The Rev. Steve Schofield will officiate. Interment will be in Dahlonega Memorial Park at a later date.  

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in her honor to the Dahlonega United Methodist Church.
