Mary Lois Moody Taylor, age 85 of Demorest, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2023.
Born in White County on September 9, 1937, Mrs. Taylor was the daughter of the late Charles Robert Moody and the late Mary Crane Moody Miller. Mrs. Taylor was retired from NAS Manufacturing and she attended Amy’s Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing for family and friends and completing crossword puzzles, but nothing made her happier than to spend time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Taylor is preceded in death by her husband Robert Sid Taylor, and siblings Clyde Moody, Bill Moody and an infant sister.
Survivors include sons James Taylor (Tiny Irvin) of Demorest, Curtis Taylor (Ruth) of Cleveland and Jerry Taylor of Demorest, brothers James Moody (Margaret) of Demorest and Clarence Moody (Jeanise) of Clermont, sister in law Elaine Moody of Cleveland, grandchildren Amy Taylor Knowles (Stephen) of Cumming, Bradley Lee Taylor (Dawn) of Demorest, Tony Rogers of Clarkesville and Dee Dee Rogers of Demorest, great grandchildren Hailey, Hannah and Joey Knowles, Roman Rogers (Mel), Faith Graham (Andrew) and Kerianna Rogers and great-great grandchildren Asher Graham and Olive Rogers.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 8th at Hillside Memorial Chapel with Rev. J. R. Elrod, officiating. Interment will follow the service in Fairfield Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, April 7th from 5-8 PM and Saturday from 12 PM until the service hour.
