Timothy Wood

Timothy Carl Wood, age 69, of Auburn, GA passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2023. He is survived by his former wife, Linda Wood; sisters, Pam Weiss, CA, Sandy McCord, Clermont, FL and her children, Sean and Laurel McCord, Atlanta, GA, Michael and Emily McCord and their children, Emily and Austin, Nashville, TN,  Robert and Amy McCord and their children, J.D. and Abigail, Macon, GA;  sons, Adam Welten of Gainesville, GA; Jonathan Davis of Lula, GA; Robert Welton, NC; and a host of friends who loved him very much. Mr. Wood was born on February 13, 1954 in Decatur, Illinois. He graduated in 1972 from Tifton High School in Tifton, GA  He was employed by Foley Products where he was a Shop Forman and Diesel Mechanic. Mr. Wood enjoyed playing golf, F1 Racing, and Midget Racing at the Chili Bowl but more than anything his favaorite hobby was “building race cars, fabricating stuff for classic cars, restoring old English Sports Cars and building anything with metal”.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 7, 2023 at the Funeral Home.
