Joel Oliver “Joe” McCall

Obituary Date: Thursday, March 30, 2023

Mr. Joel Oliver “Joe” McCall, 64, passed away unexpectedly on March 30, 2023.

A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at Little & Davenport Funeral Home, located at 355 Dawsonville Hwy, Gainesville, GA 30501.

Joe was born on September 14, 1958, in Atlanta, GA, and was a lover of music, fast boats, fast cars, slow lake days, and trips to the beach. Joe was just that – uniquely Joe. He marched to the beat of his own drum and was always up for a good time and a lively event, whether it was attending drag races with his friends or cheering on his Braves all the way to the World Series. He was known most affectionately for his deep-rooted generosity and non-stop communication with his loved ones. If you spent any time with Joe, you knew that he always made space for a joke, a story, a laugh, and a good meal. Beyond his comedic exterior and charming smile was a man who had profound compassion for others and a deep love for his family.

Mr. McCall was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce McCall, and is survived by his daughter, Brittany McCall of Nashville, TN, father, J.D. McCall of Gainesville, GA, sister, Delynn Montgomery alongside husband Mike Montgomery of Covington, GA, and brother, Ken McCall alongside wife Penny McCall of Gainesville, GA, as well as Belinda Dale, Amber Veal, nieces, nephews, and friends who were more like family.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Alzheimer’s Association.
