Sharon Helton Delong, 80, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away Friday, March 31, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two years, Rev. Junior Delong; parents, Ike and Flora Helton; brother, Samuel Helton; and sister, Joyce Simonds. Mrs. Delong is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jacky and Melody Delong of Flowery Branch, GA; grandchildren, Andy Delong, Tabitha and Derek Thomas, and Valerie Delong; great grandchildren, Carley Delong and Christopher Thomas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Daniel and Wendy Helton, and Jerry and Shirley Helton; aunt, Mae Davis; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Delong was born March 27, 1943 in Buford, GA and received her education from Sugar Hill School. She retired from Lanier Graphic after thirty-five years as a printer, and also worked for Georgia Boot in Flowery Branch. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, and also had attended Peoples Baptist Church, both in Flowery Branch. A Graveside Service is scheduled for 11:00 AM Monday, April 3, 2023 in Broadlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Buford with Rev. Charles Shadburn and Rev. Tony Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends at Flanigan Funeral Home in Buford from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, April 2, 2023.
