Harold Lewis Davis

Harold Lewis Davis, age 96, of Sugar Hill, GA passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Pearl Davis; brother, Dolphus Davis; sister, Olwen Bagley.  He is survived by his wife of 65 years, married in 1958, Lounell Davis, Sugar Hill, GA; sons, Jeffery Davis, Sugar Hill, GA, Jason (Jill) Davis, Sugar Hill, GA; daughter, Brittany (Michael Dawson) Devitt, Auburn, GA; grandchildren, Jack Edwards, Heather Edwards, Lawson Haddock; sisters, Verlon Herrington, Buford, GA, Genevieve Breedlove, Sugar Hill, GA; several nieces, nephews and a number of other relatives.  Harold was born December 28, 1926 in Buford, GA and was a Veteran of the United States Army.  He retired from General Motors after 50 years of Service.  He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to do woodworking and carving.  His favorite thing to do was rabbit hunting with his sons and friends, and in his younger years, he loved going fishing with his wife, Lounell.  He also enjoyed taking her antique shopping.  Harold was a kind and loving husband and father who will be greatly missed.  A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2023 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA with Rev. Josh Herrington and Gary Bagley officiating.  Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford, GA.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2023 prior to the Service.
