Ronald Larry Flinkfelt

Ronald Larry Flinkfelt of Cumming, GA passed away at his home on Saturday, March 25, 2023. He was 74. Born in Rhode Island on 12/12/1948, the son of Doris C. Patenaude, Warren R. Flinkfelt. Ron was a go-getter with a passion for cars, especially Chevy's. Ron worked hard to open his own transmission shop called ABC Transmission in N. Kingstown, RI and later Buford, GA. He was a self-taught master transmission builder. Ron was an avid NASCAR fan, he and his best friend Hubert (Georgia shaker) attended many races together. Ron also had a passion for antiques and re-furbishing old gas station memorabilia. In fact, he once owned an antique shop called ABC Antiques. Ron never stopped working, towards the end of his life he worked on lawn mowers. Left to cherish his memory are Ron's companion Janice Stewart; Children Ronnie Flinkfelt, Ronda Kreusch, Ashley Fahay, and Rob Ficazola; Children at heart, Stacy (Stewart) Waits and Paige (Stewart) Hull; Grandchildren Josh Roberts, Justin Flinkfelt, Jenna Roberts, and Britny Achtermann. Great-grandchildren Lillyanne Fudoli, Violet Fudoli, Scarlett Fudoli, and Ava Achtermann; sister Gail Robidoux. Ron is proceeded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, 2 sisters, and his great-granddaughter Ana Achtermann. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 2:30 PM in the State Room at Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA with Dr. Bill Coates officiating.Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 1:30 to 2:30 PM.
