Myrtle “Jo” Morgan Mackey, age 88 of Buford, GA. passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023. She was born in Covington, GA. July 18, 1934 to the late Myrtle Eloise Rowe Mobley and Joe Chester Mobley. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Eddy Dale Morgan; sons, Robert Dale Morgan and Douglas Eddy Morgan; brother, Dennis Rowe Mobley and Kennith L. Mackey. She is survived by her daughter, Donna (Russell) Lamb of Buford, GA.; Daughter-in-law, Sandra S. Morgan of Jonesboro, GA.; grandchildren, Jennifer Elam, David Ashley Morgan (Sue Bryan), Kristina N. Morgan (Mike Lewis), Robert Dale Morgan Jr. (Corie S. Morgan), Andrew Harrison Morgan (Kristen H. Morgan), Jamie Elaine Lamb (Marco Perez), Andrea Jo Frachiseur (C.J. Frachiseur); great-grandchildren, Bo Stowers, Shelly Stowers, Samantha Webb, T.J. Kosky, Jacey Kosky, Chelsea Kosky, Austin Trent, Sydney Beshears, Jackson Morgan, Emma Morgan, Cooper Morgan, Kennedy Morgan, Kyndall Morgan, Katelyn Morgan; six great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Judy Fuller, Jerry Mobley, Linda McCurry, Peggy Turner, Cheryl (Bob) Phillips, Michael Mobley; and a host of nieces and nephews. Jo is also survived by her cousin and best friend, Glenda (Kent) Allen of Resaca, GA., whom she loved dearly. She cherished so many happy memories with Glenda and her family. Jo was a member of First Baptist Church of Buford and the Silver Tone Choir, where she made many wonderful friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on the 29th at Flanigan Funeral Home, 4400 S. Lee street, Buford, GA. 30518. Interment with graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Stephens Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3650 GA. Hwy 17, Toccoa, GA. 30577.
