Mrs. Carole Lonita Dorsey, 80, of Gainesville, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2023 following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2023 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Drewery Loggins will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Born on August 11, 1942 in Gainesville, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Vieola Coker Entrekin. She was retired from Foster parenting and was a member of New Holland Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dorsey was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Dorsey; Brother in law, Mark Vieira; sister and brother in law, Ellen and Dennis Grant and fiancé, David Endsley.
Mrs. Dorsey is survived by her daughter, Dawn Dorsey of Lilburn, GA; grandson son and wife, Dylan and Sarah Dorsey of Gainesville, GA; son, Dave Dorsey of Houston, TX; daughter in law, Candi Dorsey of Gainesville, GA; brothers and sisters in law, Johnny and Joyce Entrekin of Gainesville, Ray and Fran Entrekin of Gainesville; sister, Ferrell Vieira of Gainesville; grandson, Eric Nolan of Gainesville; granddaughter, Sheena Larimore of Gainesville; great granddaughter, Chloe Larimore of Gainesville; great grandson, Jesus Quintanilla of Gainesville, grandson, Blake Conner of TN and a number of other loving relatives.
