Janice Georgia “Nanny” Berry

Mrs. Janice Georgia “Nanny” Berry, 67, of Dahlonega, passed away Friday, March 24, 2023 following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2023 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Danny Spurr, Rev. Glenn Williams and Rev. Terry Hood will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Glendon Williams officiating. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Sunday, March 26, 2023 and on Monday, March 27, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Born on May 11, 1955 in Buford, GA, she was the daughter of the late George and Hazel Phyfe Rieves. She was a homemaker who loved caring for her family. Mrs. Berry was a member of Mt. Zion # 1 Dahlonega.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Berry was preceded in death by her son, George Nelson Berry and her sister, Joyce (Rieves) Savage.

Mrs. Berry is survived by her husband of 49 years, Glenn Berry of Dahlonega; sister, Faye (Rieves) Heath of Flowery Branch; care taker, Ashley Hood of Dahlonega and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
