Rosetta Marie Harben McGhee

Ms. Rosetta Marie Harben McGhee, age 84, of Woodstock, Georgia, formerly of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023. She was born in Dallas, Texas, on March 27, 1938, to the late Frank J. Morris and the late Alzada Johnson Morris.
Rosetta came to Georgia in 1958 and fell in love with the mountains. She always felt very fortunate to know her two homes, Georgia and Texas. She stayed in North Georgia for the remaining part of her life and worked many part-time jobs while raising her two sons. After working at H.D. Lee Co. and serving as Union President, she strongly wanted to serve others in the medical field. She earned a Medical Assist Degree, worked as an E.M.T. in Dawson County, and later became a Respiratory Therapist at the hospital in Dahlonega. She retired from her profession in 1999.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Frank Morris Jr., and Philip Morris.
She is survived by her sons, Michael Brent Harben (Frances) and Daren Glen Harben; brother Don Morris (Sandy); sister-in-laws Val Morris Harris and Jonye Morris; and grandsons, London Harben and Nick Harben. Numerous nieces, friends, and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 27, 2023, in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Dahlonega Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the service hour.
