Our beloved father and grandfather, Gary W. Cooper, entered into God’s Kingdom on March 12, 2023.
Gary was born to Cadell and Una Mae Cooper on August 22, 1942, in Radford, VA. When Gary was younger, his favorite activities were football, hunting, and fishing. He attended University of Minnesota, and Jerry Savelle Bible School and graduated with a degree in Biblical Studies. He was a lay minister for many churches, most notably First Baptist Atlanta International Ministries. His favorite international mission trip was to Colombia with Free Chapel.
In 1957, Gary met Carolyn, a match truly made in heaven. They married in 1962. Gary & Carolyn went on to have three children, Brett Cooper (wife Ava), Troy Cooper (wife Shantel), and Rebecca Cooper Frasier (husband Marshall). Gary was a loyal servant to God, first and foremost. He loved the Word of God and loved sharing the love and warmth of our savior, Jesus Christ, with as many people as possible. Gary led a vibrant Bible study in his local community for the last decade. He was also an avid member of World Harvest Church in Roswell, GA.
Gary joins his parents Cadell & Una, Uncle Randy, and brother Cadell Jr. in Heaven. He is survived by many loving family members, including 14 grandchildren: Jordan (husband Marco), Jacob (wife Brittney), Conner (wife Hannah), Caden (wife Haley), TJ, Tyler, Carina, Carsten (wife Ishriel), Caeli, Jessie, Catriel, Cairistine, Cayson, & Caegan; and 9 great grandchildren: Toño, Zeke, Claire, Jack, Sarah, Anna, Cami, Millie, & Boston.

Psalm 91
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”
Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler
And from the perilous pestilence.
With long life I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation.”
