Robert Allen Christian

Robert Allen Christian, age 75, of Suwanee, GA passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Esther Mae Christian.  Mr. Christian is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Fran Christian of Suwanee, GA; son, John Allen (Stephanie) Christian of Buford, GA; grandchildren, Michael Christian and Connor Christian of Buford, GA; sister, Debra (Stan) Wallace of Watkinsville, GA; nieces, Laura Whitehead of Athens, GA and Amy (John) Weaver of Michigan; brother-in-law, John Henderson (Sandy) Ballard of Canton, GA; nieces, Andrea Ballard, Stephanie (Thomas) Sewell, Shannon Drymon; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.  Robert was born on October 26, 1947 in Athens, GA, and was a 1965 graduate of Athens High School and a graduate of University of Georgia in 1970 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing.  He served his country as a Strategic Air Command Officer in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1972.  He was the owner of an Executive Recruiting company. Robert enjoyed running, golfing, skiing, hunting and fishing.  He was an active UGA Alumni.  Mr. Christian was a member of Parkway Baptist Church in Duluth, where he sang in the choir.  He loved to make apple pies and was a very loving husband, kind-hearted father, and a gentle grandfather who adored his grandchildren.  A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 19, 2023 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA with Stan Wallace, Victor Armstrong, John Allen Christian officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until time for the service at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to… in memory of Robert Christian.
