Charles Stevens Noble

Charles Stevens Noble, 79, of Gainesville, passed away Monday February 27, 2023. Steve was born December 24, 1943 in San Francisco, CA to the late Roy Bogan and Helen Stevens Noble.

In addition to his parents Steve is preceded in death by his wife of 51 yrs. Elizabeth (Bette) Noble.

He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law’s, Michael (Denise) Moore, Mark (Linda) Noble and Clark (Jennifer) Noble, four grandchildren, Evan, Emma and Aaron Moore and Lacey Noble, sister, Julie Fiock and brother-in-law, Bardy Jones. Steve grew up in Speedway, IN and enjoyed recounting his time working at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as a young man while still attending the Indianapolis 500 race every year into his late 70’s. Steve was also a proud supporter of his alma maters Hanover College and Speedway High School in Indiana; receiving a PhD from the University of Georgia and serving as a professor at the University of North Georgia for 47 years. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother and friend.

A celebration of life will be held Friday March 3, 2023 at 4p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church 800 S. Enota Dr. Gainesville..
