Mildred Cook Manning

Mildred Cook Manning, age 84 of Suwanee, GA passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Harold Manning; parents, Rupert and Lula Williams Cook; brothers, Henry Monroe Cook; sister-in-law, Judy Cook.  She is survived by her daughter, Lynn B. (Jeff) Pass, Buford, GA; son, Steve (Kristy) Allen, Canton, GA; step-children, Michael Manning, Thomas Manninng, Craig (Lora) Manning, Kyle (Wendy) Manning, Jason Manning; granddaughter, Samantha Pass; grandchildren, Chandler, Grant, Ben Allen; brother, Horace (Niki) Cook, Buford, sister-in-law, Janice Miller Cook, Lula, GA; step-grandchildren, Ashley Manning, Nicholas Manning, Anthony Manning, Madison Manning; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Manning was born on April 26, 1938 in Cumming, Ga.  She was a 1956 graduate of Suwanee High School and a graduate of Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville, GA.  She was retired from Georgia Power North District Atlanta as an administrative assistant.  She was formerly a member of Shadowbrook Baptist Church where she sung in the choir for a long time.  Mrs. Manning was presently a member of Ivy Creek Baptist Church in Buford.  She enjoyed camping with her husband and traveling for  many years prior to her husband passing in 2021.   A Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 5, 2023 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA with Rev. Bobby Linkous officiating.  A Private Family Interment will be held at Sugar Hill Cemetery, Sugar Hill, GA.  A Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 5, 2023 prior to the Service.
