Mary Katherine “Kathy” Pedersen

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Mary Katherine “Kathy” Pedersen, age 57, who entered rest Monday February 27, 2023. Mrs. Pedersen was born in Carbondale, Illinois the daughter of the late Joseph “Jay” Dana Allen III and Mrs. Kae Williams Brown of Athens, Georgia.

Mrs. Pedersen was a homemaker.

In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband, Andrew Pedersen of Maysville, GA. Daughter, Emma Pedersen of Nicholson, GA. Three sons, Stephen Nunez (Taylor) of North Carolina, Drew Nunez of East Point, GA and Edward Nunez of Snellville, GA. Several aunts, uncles, cousins and other realtives also survive.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday March 12, 2023 at Saint Gregory the Great Episcopal Church 3195 South Barnett Shoals Road, Athens, GA 30605. Private family graveside services will follow at Tuckston United Methodist Church 4175 Lexington Road, Athens, GA 30605.
