David C. Kobor, 51, of Dawsonville passed away Saturday, February 25, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Born May 26, 1971, David had been a resident of Dawson County for over 25 years. Raised in Marion, Indiana, he was a 1989 graduate of Marion High School. Following graduation David joined the U.S. Marine Corps where he served until moving to Dawsonville to be close to his family. A very talented craftsman, he enjoyed working with his hands. David owned and operated Kobor Contracting Services, Inc. in Dawsonville. He was a man of few words and loved his family and friends most of all. Our loss is Heaven’s gain. He was preceded in death by his biological father who passed away before David was born, Charles Kobor, and the father who raised him, Wendel Vice.
Surviving are his beloved wife, Misty Kobor of Dawsonville; children, Katherine Schotta (Charles), John Pritchard (Jessica), Duncan Kobor (Taryn), Levi Chester, Jace Kobor, all of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Everett Pritchard, Ryker Pritchard; mother, Janet Vice of Dawsonville; sisters, Betty Evenson (Duane) of Dawsonville, Linda Sperin (Johnny) of Ball Ground; sisters-in-law, Michelle Nall (Jason) of Dawsonville, Tammy Chester-Jenkins (Keelan) of Dahlonega; brother-in-law, Micheal Castleberry (Christy) of Dawsonville; very special nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives, and dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, February 27, 2023 at 6 p.m. at Lilly Creek Farm, 1654 Auraria Road, Dawsonville, Georgia 30534. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until the hour of service.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to help David’s family and to offset final expenses.
