Betty Ann Bates Campbell

Mrs. Betty Ann Bates Campbell, age 78 of Lula, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at her residence, surrounded by her family.     

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 2:00 pm at White Hall Baptist Church with interment to follow at the church cemetery.  Reverend Shane Turner will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Friday, February 24, 2023 from 6 – 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Campbell was born February 6, 1945 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Wilbur Bates and Viola Baugh Bates.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, sewing, camping and being with her family. Betty was a member of Emmaus Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Carlton Bates and Michael Bates, her sister, Marie Grindle and her grandson, James Smith.   

Mrs. Campbell is survived by her husband, Junior Campbell of Lula, her children, Carolyn & Jerry Smith, Vickie & Tim Otting and Eddie & Gail Campbell, all of Lula, her grandchildren, Whitney & Jake Thompson, Josh Adams, Ethan Otting, James Ray & Hanna Bates, Kaitlin Otting and Mariah & Jaron Lanphear, her great-grandchildren, Eloise, Lily, Hunter, Lexi, Colton and Carder, her brother & sister-in-law, Billy & Patricia Bates of Lula and her sister-in-law, Ellen Bates.
