Verlin Boudreaux Murphy

Verlin Boudreaux Murphy, age 92 of Gainesville passed away Thursday, February 9, 2023. She was a member of St. Thomas More Parish in Baton Rouge, LA for 48 years as well as the Prince of Peace Parish in Flowery Branch for 10 years and was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW, #7017 in Denham Springs, LA. She was a 1948 graduate of Baker High School in Baker, LA.  Verlin is survived by her children Robert Murphy and wife Jenny of Germantown, TN; Ragan Murphy and fiancé Melissa of Brandon, MS; Sharon Gaston and husband Tom of Flowery Branch, GA; sister Beverly Engels of Baton Rouge, LA; grandchildren Matthew Murphy of Blacksburg, VA; Ben Murphy of Roanoke, VA; Anna Murphy of Germantown, TN;  Alayna Bowman of Charleston, SC; Roger Murphy of Brandon, MS; Patrick Murphy of Starkville, MS; Michael Gaston of Wake Forest, NC; great grandchildren Rivers Murphy of Brandon, MS; Charles Bowman of Charleston, SC.  She was preceded in death by her husband Robert G. Murphy; son Roger E. Murphy; parents Camille and Blanche Boudreaux; brothers Raymond Boudreaux and Louis Boudreaux. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 am Friday, February 24, 2023 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Baton Rouge, LA.
