Violet Ann Ledford, age 83 of Talmo entered heaven Wednesday February 15, 2023 at her residence with her family by her side.
Violet was born in Gainesville to the late Robert Eli & Lovelle Clark Loggins. She retired from a career of manufacturing, having last worked at Makita. She loved quilting, gardening but most of all she loved her family. She was a member of the Church of God in Commerce & was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Ledford; sister, LaVern Burnette; brother-in-law, Swayne Lewallen.
Left to cherish precious memories, sons & daughters in law, Tracy & Hilda Ledford & Michael & Tammy Ledford; sisters, Iris Martin & Janice Lewallen; brother-in-law, James Burnette; grandchildren, Tabitha & Jeremy Kitchens, Selena Ledford & Teddy Reid, Tyler Ledford, Savannah Ledford; great grandchildren, Emory Kitchens, Mason Kitchens & Mechyna Ledford; a number nieces, nephews & other relatives also survive.
Funeral services honoring Violet will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday February 18, 2023 at the Ward’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Barnes & Rev. Louis Gaddis officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Talmo Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 Friday February 17, 2023 and again on Saturday February 18, 2023 from 12 pm until service time at the funeral home.
