Judy Ligon

Ms. Judy Ligon, age 61, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023. She was born on March 17, 1961, in Gainesville, Georgia, to the late Bud Ridley and the late Cora Pruitt Grizzle. Judy will forever be remembered as a wonderful mother and sister. She had a deep love and connection with animals and found a lot of peace and comfort in sharing her home with her pets. 

Judy is survived by her children, Jordan (Kobie) Ligon of Cleveland and Jessica (Chase) Walden of Perry; sister Missy (Toby) Grizzle; niece Makayla (Asheton) Collins; and grandchildren Lilly, Haydn, Cora Lee, Zander, and Jayce.

It was Judy’s wish to be cremated. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, February 17, 2023, from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to TLC Humane Society in memory of Judy. Those donations may be mailed to 1735 Red Oak Flats Rd. Dahlonega, Georgia 30533.
