Clarence Norris, Jr.

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Clarence Norris, Jr., age 86 of Nicholson, Georgia who entered rest Monday, February 6, 2023.  Mr. Norris was born in Jackson County, Georgia a son of the late Clarence Norris, Sr. and the late Willie Mae Parker Norris.  Mr. Norris was of the Baptist Faith and was retired from Wayne Poultry.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Norris is preceded by a sister, Ruby Lee.

Survivors include his wife of fifty eight years, Mary Lou Whisanant Norris of Nicholson.  Three daughters, Lauranne Norris of Nicholson, Mary Ann Pace (Michael) of Maysville, Francine Pressley (Roy) of Commerce.  Four sons, Randy Norris of Nicholson, Mark Norris (Pam) of Nicholson, Willie Joe Norris (Paula) of Commerce, Wilburn Norris (Carla) of Jefferson.  Twenty grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, one sister, Clara Bell Thomason of Commerce and several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 9, 2023 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Bo Whisanant officiating with burial to follow in Jackson Memorial Gardens, Commerce, Georgia.  The family will receive friends 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Evans Funeral Home prior to the service.
