Thomas Edward Cantrell

Thomas Edward Cantrell was born on July 16,1945 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Pauline Cantrell. Thomas transitioned from this life on Friday, February 3, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother Fannie Harris Cantrell, mother Pauline Cantrell (Evans), sister Grace Cantrell, brother Bobby (Joyce) Cantrell and granddaughter Azariyah Buffington.

He graduated from E.E. Butler High School. Mr. Cantrell was also a Staff Sargent in the US Army.

On June 12, 1970, Thomas Cantrell united in holy matrimony to Linda Cantrell. The two created a wonderful 52 year union. Their union yielded 2 beautiful children Maurice Cantrell and Selena Buffington. Thomas leaves a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Thomas Cantrell worked for AT&T, now OFS for over 30 years.

Thomas leaves to cherish his memories wife Linda Cantrell. Two amazing children Maurice (Nashe) Cantrell of Atlanta, GA, Selena (Tracy) Buffington Gainesville, GA and one granddaughter Brooklyn Buffington of Gainesville, GA.

The visitation will be held Wednesday, February 9th between the hours of 12-8pm at Wimberly Funeral Home. The Family will receive friends between the hours of 6-8pm at Wimberly Funeral Home. Mr. Cantrell's Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, February 10th at the hour of 1pm at Hillside Chapel. Professional Services Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
