Captain James Mark Corbin

Captain James Mark Corbin, age 57, of Cumming, GA passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Danni Corbin of Cumming; son and daughter-in-law, James Ian and Bruna Corbin of New Jersey; parents, Larry and Gloria Jean Nichols Corbin of Buford, GA; sisters, Elizabeth Springston (Robert) of Buford, Rebecca Ann Corbin of Buford, Stephanie Tiller McHugh (Bill); brother, Daniel Jerome Corbin (Kelli) of Monroe, GA; father-in-law, Frank Grimsley and mother-in-law, Laura Grimsley of Leesburg, FL; special first cousin, Joey and Melissa Corbin of Hoschton, GA; nieces, Micah Springston, Hannah Kersh, Taylor Hanson, Matthew Corbin, Lauralee Griffin; aunts, Kitty Sue and Bob Dodd of Kentucky and Wanda and Terry Smith of Cumming; uncles, Ronnie and Jean Nichols of Buford, Douglas and Kim Nichols of Buford, Gerald Corbin of Flowery Branch, GA, and many beloved cousins, family, and friends. Mr. Corbin was born on April 18, 1965 in Gainesville, GA. He was a graduate of North Gwinnett High School and a veteran of the U S Marines for four years. He was employed as a Captain with Omni Air International as a pilot for over fifteen years. He has flown all over the world during his career.  Mr. Corbin was a member of the Buford Church of God. He was an avid sportsman, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and tinkering, and he loved the lottery!  A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at the Buford Church of God, 4800 South Lee St, Buford, GA 30518 with Pastor Joey Grizzle officiating, and he will lie-in-state at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, February 6 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday, February 7 at the Buford Church of God from 1:00 p.m. until time for the service at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in memory of Captain Mark Corbin.
