Burdette Ashton

Burdette Ashton, 80, of Dahlonega passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Lumpkin County following a period of declining health.

Born January 28, 1943, Burdette had been a resident of Lumpkin County for the past 30 years.  He and his wife previously resided in Forsyth County.  Burdette was an active member of High Shoals Baptist Church in Dawsonville who loved the outdoors, especially trout fishing.  His wife and daughter were the absolute most important parts of his life and Burdette made friends everywhere he went.  For many years he owned and operated Ashton-Foster Landscaping where he served the Forsyth County area.

Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Pat Ashton of Dahlonega; daughter, Lisa Ashton of Dahlonega; other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. James Thompson, Rev. Danny Miller and Rev. Wendell Gravitt will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the service hour on Saturday.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at 2 p.m. at High Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery in Dawsonville.  Rev. Chris White will officiate.
