Jerry Griffin

Mr. Jerry Griffin, age 74, of Oakwood, GA died Wednesday, February 01, 2023 at his residence.  Mr. Griffin was born in Commerce to the late Barnell and Eva Redmon Griffin.  He was a retired truck driver.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Griffin was preceded in death by his life partner, Sylvia Vickers; brothers, Billy Griffin and Barney Griffin; and sister, Janie Griffin.

Mr. Griffin is survived by his daughters, Allyson Bailey (David) of Winder and Melissa Welborn (Larry) of Anderson, SC; brother, Bobby Griffin of Athens; sisters, Martha Cotton of Homer, Joyce Griffin of Maysville and Wilma Abney of Kennesaw; grandchildren, Luke Welborn, Eva Welborn, Ruth Ann Miller (Chris), Mary Beth Jackson (Cam) and John David Bailey; and great-granddaughter, Emmaleigh.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Friday, February 3 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Reynolds and Rev. David Bailey officiating.  Interment will follow in Grove Level Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 1 to 2 PM.
