Edmund Charles Boover

Obituary Date: Sunday, January 29, 2023

Edmund Charles Boover was born to Edmund A. and Mildred (Strong) Boover on May 7th 1937 in Haverhill Ma where he grew up. He was a graduate of Haverhill High School and he served his country in the US Army as an MP after school.

He started his journey home on January 29th 2023 and he was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Verna I Burns and his beloved wife Willie Pearl Maxwell.

Edmund had a long career at New England telephone before retiring to Buford Georgia in 2004. He loved sports and was a lifelong Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, Boston Bruins, and Boston Celtics fan. Once he got to Atlanta he fell in love with the Braves and spent many evenings watching the Braves affiliate the Gwinnett Stripers and the Atlanta Gladiators hockey team with his grandsons Elijah Lynn- Vass and Maxwell Ruby.

He leaves behind his 2 sons Thomas G. Boover, Timothy C. Boover, his 1st wife Joann Boover, his grandsons Elijah Lynn – Vass and Maxwell Ruby and his stepchildren,  Meredith Lynn – Vass and her husband David Smith , Alvvin Ruby and his wife Kerry Ruby.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 2023 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA.  Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford, GA with Military Honors.  Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. prior to the Service.

Psalm 13  “But I trust in your unfailing love my heart rejoices in your salvation.  I will sing the Lord’s praise, for he has been good to me.”
