James Henry Cain

James Henry Cain, age 79 of Gainesville entered heaven Sunday January 29, 2023 at his residence with his family by his side.

James was born in Union County, Georgia on June 24, 1943 to the late Henry & Lillian Garrett Cain. He was the owner & operator of Frontier Logging until he retired. He was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his son, Terry Cain; grandson, Dustin Cain; brother, George Cain.

Survivors include, wife of 60 years, Bessie Cain; daughter, Angela (Aaron) Wehunt; grandchildren, Channing (Ashley) Cain, Andrea (Chad) Cole, Eric (Savannah) Wehunt, & Brittany Cain; great grandchildren, Haleigh, Chloey, Evie, Cora, Bradley, Logan, Ian & Lindsi; sister, Shirley (Junior) Tucker; a number of nieces, nephews & other relatives also survive.

Services to honor James will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday February 1, 2023 at the Ward's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Wilson officiating. He will be laid to rest at Hillside Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. & 6p.m. - 8 p.m. Tuesday January 31, 2023 at the funeral home.
