Frances Rae Oriel

Frances Rae Bornstein Oriel, born November 24, 1941, passed away peacefully with family by her side on January 28, 2023.  Fran was the beloved daughter of Rebecca and Oscar Bornstein, sister to Joseph, Louise, Stuart, MaryAnn, and Sammie, loving mother to Connie-Sue and Bruce, mother-in-law to Harvey, and proud grandmother of Alex, Shannon, Jillian, Taylor, Zachary, Joshua, and Luke.  Fran was a past President of the Springfield Massachusetts chapter of the National Council of Jewish Woman, and in this capacity, had the proud honor of being invited to the White House for tea with First Lady Rosalynn Carter.   Fran had a huge heart, caring deeply about her community.  In Springfield, MA, she helped relocate immigrant Russian families in the 1970s.  She was a frequent volunteer for the City of Suwanee, Georgia events and was a graduate of the Suwanee Citizens Police Academy.  No formal service is planned.
