Carolyn Jo “Lyn” (Kitchen) McCahan

Mrs. Carolyn Jo “Lyn” (Kitchen) McCahan, age 84, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away Monday, January 23, 2023.  

The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church of Gainesville from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm Friday, January 27, 2023. Celebration of Life will begin at 2:00 pm at the church.   

Lyn was born February 10, 1938 in Collegeboro, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late William Kitchen, Jr. and Sadie Mae (Woodcock) Kitchen. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Lavinia McKenzie.    

Mac and Lyn would have celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on Saturday, January 28, 2023.  

Lyn is survived by her loving husband, Mac McCahan of Gainesville; sons and daughters-in-law, T.C. (Chris) and Debra McCahan; Jon and Marlyn McCahan; and Paul and Donna McCahan; daughter, Keri McCahan; grandchildren, MarissaMcCahan, Jordan McCahan and Cole (Courtney) McCahan; great-grandchildren, Adrienne and Jensen; brother and sister-in-law, William Kitchen, III and Julia; and brother-in-law, Condle McKenzie.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the First Baptist Church, 751 Green Street, Gainesville, GA 30501 or the charity of your choosing.
