Isaac Lee Walker, age 92, of Eastanollee, passed away at his home January 21, 2023.
The first child of Dewey (Red) and Marie Kelley Walker, he was born September 23, 1930 in Durham, NC. Having lived in Blairsville during his youth, his family settled in Stephens County where he spent the majority of his life. Isaac was a graduate of Toccoa High School, received his Bachelors in Education from Piedmont College and his Masters and Specialist degrees from University of Georgia. He proudly served in the U.S. Army as a welder and upon completing his military service worked for LeTourneau Inc, then as a supervisor for Sangamo Electric Company before embarking on his career as an educator where he taught electro mechanics at Stephens County High School for 25 years. After retiring, he worked at the Georgia Baptist Assembly and his love of education prompted him to once again teach career skills, electro mechanics, at Arrendale State Prison for 15 years finally retiring at 79 to spend more time with his family, farming, and travel. As an avid traveler, he had been to over 40 states and all 7 continents. He was a lifetime member of Shiloh Baptist Church and along with his family raised cattle on the Walker farm, tended to their massive vegetable garden, and gathered honey from over 2 dozen hives
Isaac leaves his loving wife, Elsie Virginia Fletcher Walker, of 67 years; children, Rebecca Marie Walker of Eastanollee, Patricia Jane Pratt (Ron) of Ocala, FL, Walter Lee (Vicki) of Bonaire, GA, and Randy Isaac (Jane) of Coral Gables, FL; ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. In addition, as the oldest of 15, he leaves behind eight beloved siblings, Juanita, Dick, David, Cora, Bill, Joel, Pete, and Mary; six siblings preceded him in death, Launa Belle, Obra, Clifton, Johnny, Dan, and Rollo.

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 28, 2023, 2 o’clock p.m. in The Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Jerrell Beatty and Mr. Jerry Snell officiating. Military Honors by the U.S. Army Honor Guard. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Walter Walker, Randy Walker, Joshua Pratt, Ron Pratt, Thomas Cistola and Brandon Cistola. Honorary pallbearers will be Jake Walker, Colton Walker and Ronnie Pratt.

Interment will be in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Isaac Lee Walker.
