Janice Abernathy Reed

Janice Abernathy Reed age 64 of Prudenville, MI died Monday January 16, 2023, in Michigan following a sudden illness.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Tuesday January 24, 2023, in the Little Davenport Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Russell Sims will officiate with burial to follow at the Amy’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Clarkesville, Ga. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 5pm to 8pm.

She was born in Clarkesville, Ga.to the late Lawson W. Abernathy and Mamie Lawson Abernathy. She lived for many years in Woodstock, Ga. and was a resident of Michigan since 2019. While in Woodstock, Ga. she was a very active member of North Canton Baptist Church and most recently Houghton Lake Baptist Church in Michigan and she was an amazing Nana, Mom, Sister, and friend.

She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Brooks Reed and Kristin. A sister, Elaine Gleason, 4 grandchildren, Austyn, Levi, Brynleigh and Lawson Reed. 2 nephews, Blake and Adam Stribling, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
