Lawrence Conzellas Law

Lawrence Conzellas Law was born February 6, 1958 in Gainesville, Georgia, the third child of the late Frank and Viola Law.  He departed this life on Friday, January 13, 2023 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a short illness. 

Lawrence joined St. John Baptist Church at an early age and also attended Sardis Presbyterian Church throughout his childhood.  He was educated at Fair Street Elementary, Gainesville Mill Elementary and graduated from Johnson High School in 1976.   

Known as the handyman of the family, Lawrence could be found wielding a hammer, screwdriver or paintbrush and working on automobiles with his friends. He loved hanging out with his sons watching football and baseball games. 

His memories will be cherished by his sons, Fabian Law and Clinton Payne; granddaughter, Angel Law; sisters, Leslie Law, Valerie Hudson, Frances Williams and Zanetta (Richard) Tucker; aunts and uncles, Sammie Sue Rucker, Lucille Law and George Thomas (Rachel) Law; nieces and nephews, Tameeka (Ludlow) Walker, January Hudson, Maurice Williams, Ashley Jones, Dustin Jones and Zarena Tucker; great nieces and nephew Ashlynn Hudson, Alivia Hudson, & Solomon Walker;  and a host of cousins and friends. 

The visitation will be Friday, January 20th between the hours of 12-8pm at Wimberly Funeral Home. The family will receive friends between the hour of 12-1pm on Saturday, January 21st at Sardis Presbyterian Church. Celebration of Life will follow at 1pm at Sardis Presbyterian Church.
