Gladys Simmons Brent

Mrs. Gladys Simmons Brent, 86, of Gainesville passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2023 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Ricky Thrasher and Rev. Chris York will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Born on December 18, 1936 in Toccoa, GA, she was the daughter of the late Hubert and Mae Irene Prichett Simmons. She was retired from the Northeast Georgia Medical Center and was a member of Toccoa Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brent was preceded in death by her husbands, Ayers Bohannon and Billy Brent; sons, Roger Simmons, Ricky Bohannon, Ronnie Bohannon; brothers, Junior Simmons, James Simmons; sisters, Martha Jo Simmons, Ida Mae Simmons, Mary Grace Underwood.

Mrs. Brent is survived by her daughter and son in law, Debbie and Joel Truelove of Gainesville; daughter, Sherry Bryant of Gainesville; grandchildren, Josh Bryant, Destiny Bryant, Ashley Truelove, Cody Truelove; great grandchild, Weston Bryant and a number of other loving relatives.
