Joann Jones Kimbro, age 82 of Buford, died Wednesday, January 11, 2023. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Pastor Wayne Johnson will officiate. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday, January 13, 2023 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM and Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 12:00 PM- 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Joann is preceded in death by her Husband, Gene Kimbro. Parents Ondus and Sarah O’Kelley Jones. She is survived by her Children, David Kimbro (Beth), Buford, GA. Andrea Banks (Jeff), Dawsonville, GA. Grandchildren, Seth Banks (Madison), Aislynn Kimbro, Caitlin Banks, Ashley Kimbro, Logan Banks, and Dylan Kimbro. Great Grandchildren, Rhett Banks and Reagan Banks. Sister, Gladys Burke, Buford, GA. Sister-in-law, Wilma Smith (Jerry), Eatonton, GA. Brother-in-law, Leon Kimbro, Buford, GA. Several Nieces and Nephews. Joann lived her life in the Buford Community. She was a member of Buford First United Methodist Church and worked and retired from Buford City Schools where she served as a bus driver. After retirement Joann cared for, loved, and raised many children from the Buford area. She was a treasure, and her sweet spirit and joy for life will truly be missed.
