Ericha Simmons Lewis

Mrs. Ericha Simmons Lewis, age 62 of Thomasville, Georgia and formerly of Toccoa passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023 at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida.

A daughter of Mildred Pressley Simmons and the late Howard Lamar Simmons, she was born February 13, 1960 in Stephens County, Georgia, having lived most of her life in Toccoa and the last 20 years in Thomasville, Georgia.  She was employed with Eastanollee Elementary School as a Para Pro for a number of years and later with Thomas County School System.  She was a member of Mullins Ford Baptist Church and attended Northside Baptist Church in Thomasville, Georgia.  She was a loving daughter, wife, sister, mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family.  She enjoyed sewing and crocheting.  She was preceded in death by her father.

Survivors include her mother, Mildred Pressley Simmons of Toccoa; husband of the home, Keith Lewis; daughters and son-in-law, Millie and Thomas Herrington and Katie Moler of Thomasville, Carrie Lancaster (Stephen Fleming) of Toccoa and Tammie Jourdanais of Royston; brother and sister-in-law, James and Cricket Simmons of Toccoa; sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Randy Collins of Toccoa; special cousin, Janet Dye of Toccoa.

Funeral services will be Thursday, January 12, 2023, 2 o’clock p.m.  in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Joey Stewart officiating.  The following will serve as pallbearers, Courtney Simmons, Ken Dye, Grant Dye, Cruize Stancil, Paul Robins, Eric Herrington and Tony Lancaster.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the service time.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Interment will follow in the Mullins Ford Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Ericha Simmons Lewis.
