Harry Richard Thomason

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Harry Richard Thomason, age 76, of Maysville, Georgia entered rest Sunday January 8, 2023. Mr. Thomason was born in Fulton County, Georgia the son of the late Harry Rovene Thomason and the late Doris Dickey Thomason. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Regina Edison Thomason and a granddaughter, Remonda Victoria Highfield.

Mr. Thomason retired from CSX Railroad, was a Veteran of the United States Navy and was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include his children, Richard Jason and Randi (McGuire) Thomason of Texas, Brandy and John Highfield of Banks County, GA and Samantha and Scott Pressley of Maysville, GA. Stepchildren, Tonya Harper and Brent Schultz, James Robert and Allison Harper, Lawrence Marshall and Tonya Harper and William Kevin and Jacqueline Harper. Twenty-five grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be 4:00 P.M. Friday January 13, 2023, at Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Yvonne Sewell officiating. The family will receive friends 2:00 – 4:00 PM prior to the service at Evans Funeral Home.

In accordance with Mr. Thomason wishes, he will be cremated after the services.
