Bruce Smith

Mr. Bruce Smith, age 72 of Oak Valley Road, Toccoa passed away Friday January 6, 2023 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

A son of the late Hoyt Nuberry Smith and Veneeta Mae Whiten Smith, he was born January 26, 1950 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life.  He was retired from the City of Toccoa Gas Department.  He was a member of Toccoa Christian Church.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Bruce David Smith and by a brother, Roy Smith.

Survivors include his wife of the home, Yvonne Wilhite Smith; daughter, Kimberly Smith of Toccoa; grandchildren, Kayla Smith, Meyghan Smith, Bo Smith, Peyton Gibby, Logan Gibby and Tori Smith; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Connie Nicholson of Toccoa, Mazelle Kelette of Dawsonville and Brenda Cobb of Lavonia; brothers, Leon Smith, David Smith and Tyrus all of Toccoa; Larry Smith and Johnny Smith both of Carnesville and Forest Smith of Baltimore, Maryland.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 10, 2023, 2 o’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Gary Phillips and The Reverend Zack Smith officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Jason Smith, Wesley Smith, Allen McGee, Adam Wilhite, Chad Aldridge and Cody Smith. 

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Monday from 6 P.M until 8 P.M. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com. 

Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Bruce Smith.
